Anyone know the name of a book written by a feminist writer about a lady whose husband runs off with another woman. She decides to get even and she puts herself through loads of painful surgery to become beautiful!!

Sounds like 'The Life And Loves Of A She Devil' by Fay Weldon. It was dramatised on TV a few years ago with Dennis Waterman, and Julie T. Wallace.
