An injured crow
2 Answers
For the past 3 weeks I have had a crow with an injured wing living in my enclosed garden, unable to fly but otherwise seems OK. Twice he has wandered into the road when my gate was opened but has always got back inside - heaven knows how! He feeds on the food dropped from my bird feeder by the smaller birds and I have put stuff on the ground for him, hoping that the seagulls and rats won't get it first. Is his wing likely to repair itself eventually. If not I suppose I'll have to try and catch him (risking further damage) and take him to the vet. Any suggestions?

I rescued a fledgeling crow when I was a child. It didn`t half take some feeding! Luckily I knew a man who took in orphaned/injured birds and I gave the crow to him. You could find out if there`s an animal sanctuary around (the vet will probably know) but they might just put him down.
