If we give you advice about kettles we will expect you all to give invite us round for a cup of tea, dotty. What do you other ABers think of this idea. Seriously though Argos is the best place to get kettles. I got my friend one for Christmas, and it came with a free toaster. Can not recall the number of it, but may still be there under offer, so just have a look on the site or in the catalogue. Let us know how you get on with this.

Got a Russell Hobbs "fast boil". Fill mug I will be using for tea or coffee with water up to brim so get correct amount (resulting boiled amount will be spot on). Pour water into kettle...boils in seconds.

I boil the kettle about 3 times before i actually make coffee, i flick the switch then go and do something else then when i get back i need to re-boil it, it sometimes takes 3 attenpts to actually have the mug ready with the coffee in it ready to pour the water from the kettle

I can't remember how much I paid for my Russell Hobbs kettle, but it's leaking a bit now. It boils very slowly, but it still works. It's over 35 years old. Not a bad buy, all in all.

Sorry if you have already got your new kettle, but have just found the link for the one I got my friend for Christmas. It is the best kettle I have ever had, and you get a free toaster with it. That advice is good for the rest of you too. You get a decent kettle and toaster, both for £20. See link below:
