Was debating with b/f's Dad last night about chinese lanterns. I said they would probably work better in warm weather due to thermals pushing them up higher, but he is convinced they would work better in cold weather because of the way the heat is transferred or something (I didn't really understand what he was saying).

Anyone clear this up for us?
