lizzy....I agree with Lazygun........however

<<<<The 584 pregnancies reported seem to be mostly related to incorrect insertion of the device rather than the device itself being faulty<<<

That is an indictment of current medical practice and no consolation to the coil recipient..
it's not a coil is it? I thought it was an implant
Is this the implant that goes in your arm? I used it for a couple of years and loved it. Sadly I had to come off it but it remains by far my preferred method of contraception.
bednobs....no , it isnt a coil......my mistake.
I had it for 3 years....can't wait for it to be put back in :-)

Saying that...getting pregnant wouldn't be an issue for me.

I didn't think it was out 10 years ago Red....I was the first one to have it at my doctors surgery and that was less than 4 years ago.
I had it when I was about 22/23 I think so yeah... about 10 years ago.

I feel old now. :c(
Wow...we're behind the times.

Pinki - The only side effect I had was excess sweating at the very beginning. It wasn't smelly sweating...it was all over though, mainly arms and legs. Once that went I had no side effects...no periods...no pmt...no weight gain.
