What was the programme?

I remember a series in the 1980's.  The opening sequence was a car crash, with a shadowy figure stumbling away from a burning car.  Don't know what channel it was on, but I do remember loving the music from the theme tune - something classical.  The jist of the series was a man trying to find someone (possibly a relative) from the burning car

Although i cannot remember the name of the programme that opening sequence sounds very familiar and if its what i think it is the music was Dire Straits - "Private Investigations from the Love over Gold album.  I hope we are talking about the same programme!

There was a series with Alexandra Bastdio a blonde actress with two men and they all had super powers, but I cannot remember the title.
