I understand Apple aren't too keen on Adobe and Flash. Can you still use Flash on a Mac? I know you need Flash installed to watch iPlayer.

you should load it. Lets you control what flash is played on your Mac. Want to watch the video, click to open it. Don't want all those adverts that are slow to load, don't click.
Highly recommended.

Yes. Go to the Adobe site and download 10.1. There are as ever, some problems with Adobe's version, it crashes far to often in browsers and takes up too much processing power but works OK most of the time. To reduce the amount of crashes install ClicktoFlash which stops Flash ads etc. autoloading in browsers. You just then click only the Flash insert you want. iPlayer works fine.
all mac (apart from the very new MacBbook Air) come with the Flash plugin pre-installed. Flash has never potted well to Macs which is the reason Apple dislike it. You are recommended to install a flash blocker for when you do not need it, I think it is called Quittoflash or something similar. Flash will reay hamper your computers performance if you do not.
However, The install process for iPlayer installs any plugins you may need.
