Please would someone tell me, or guide me in the correct direction for removing the shortcut arrows from desktops icons. All I seem to hear is use TweakUI or similar. So far so good; but when I run a tweak program I have not got a clue how to proceed from that point. Can anyone please help? Wooders

Download tweakui, the following link takes you straight to the download page.

It is a zip file, so first unzip it and right click on the tweakui.inf file and select install from the menu.
Once installed it is located in the control panel. Run tweakui and select the explorer section, this is where you control the behaviour of the shortcut icons.
Hope this helps.

FAO Mattie.. You are a hero and worthy of the three stars. That extra piece of information ( and downloading the correct Tweak i.e. not DUN also helps) Once located in the Control panel I am off and running. Cheers for your help. Wooders
Glad to be of assistance
