Girls' hair styles

Is it me or do most teen girls these days have the same hairstyle? All my daughters' friends have the same long hair, straightened and side parted so that it slants to one side. I'm sure alot of them go around leaning on one side to keep the hair on that side! What happened to variety and individuality? Also, why are so many so vain and forever posting obviously very posed photos on Face Book with comments saying they look ugly knowing jolly well they don't look ugly but just so they can hear others reply "no u don't, u look gorjus"! Am I alone in thinking this?!

it has forever been the same when i was 14 - 15 perms were the in thing, and EVERYBODY had the same permed hairstyle

That sort of Facebook thing really annoys me; it's like the people who update their status with "Grr some people are just not worth it" or "Why do I bother?" Just so people will comment saying "Aww whats up hun?" to which the OP replies, "I'll message you; don't want everyone knowing what's going on!" Arrgghh!

and Facebook, while we're at it - what's happened to conversation? - I can't understand some of the daily rubbish people post - why?

Haha! My boyfriend and me take photos like that as a kind of joke when we're on holiday pinkilady, problem is when they go up on Facebook it's only me and him that get that we're taking the mick out of everyone who does it seriously!

because nobody else takes your photo, you do it on your own phone and upload it...

It annoys me as well....

It took me so long to convince my daughter that she looked like a twonk when she pouted but beautiful when she smiled...

Took me even longer to convince her that orange skin and what appears to be one eyelash is not a sexy look...

She grew out of it..

I see I have lots of people with the same opinion as me! Maybe we are 'old' (although I don't think I am!) and just don't get all the posing for FB. I also don't like status they put on like 'just got out of bed', 'just eating breakfast', etc. Who cares! I've yet to see one that says 'just going for a poo' though. Also, they post comments on FB to their 'friends' and can have a 'chat' on FB (if you can call it a chat) but in real life, they don't speak to each other, not even when they pass by in the school corridor as they aren't real friends! Weird!

Well I was going to start a thread about why lots of girls on facebook go for the hair curtain/one eye/pouty/porn star you know you want me look, but its covered here, glad its not just me that thinks "why?" !

The times I have commented to family , friends etc,"why does everybody have their hair just hanging down with no style?" nobody seems to give me an answer, and I know I am old- fashioned.
