Liverpool have had their time as a top 4 club, best they can hope for is a Europa League place for the foreseeable future

Dalglish was very successful last time he was Liverpool manager but he took when they were at the top and kept them there.....but this time he has taken over a very average side.......his spell in charge of Newcastle wasn't exactly a success.......plus he's been out of management for a long time and the game is different now - managers no longer rule the roost, players (and their agents) call all the shots.

...and as for someone suggesting John Barnes is to join Dalglish in a 'dream team' partnership! Barnes failed miserably as a manager at Celtic and Tranmere, he's better off sticking to being a football pundit.

To suggest that Barnes should join Dalglish ought to send shivers down the spines of any football fans after the wreckage he left Celtic in. Totally useless - and why Tranmere took him on after that was mind boggling to say the least, not to mention the Jamaican national team as well, was it?
