More than one line on a mobile phone?

Does anyone know if you can have a mobile phone with more than one phone line on it? If so, How could you do this? Do you just divert from other lines or is there a handset that will take more than one simcard? Thanks

Also wouldn't one phone constantly searching for two mobile phone signals absolutely drain the battery?

there are a few leading manufacturers that build dual sim phones in the UK, HTC, Samsung etc. Google dual sim phones
