Can I use this out of date haddock?

I bought a bit of faddock from the fish counter on Tuesday and it said use by the 12th. It's been regigigrated all the time since then and I want to cook it now, will it be okay? Thank you.

No. Don't risk it. My friend had one two days after use-by and was very sick for days.

If it were haddock I would be wary, and have a good sniff first. However, regigigrated faddock sounds fine to me.

Smell it...if it even has the faintest smell of being off then bin it. If it still smells fresh...go for it.

Remember.... independent fish mongers don't sell it with a 'use by' date.

No guts, no glory! I have eated out of date food all my life, and I am still alive. I am with ummmm on this one. If it smells okay then go for it, but if it stinks to high heaven then just feed it to the cat. Make sure you cook it very well though, and be sure to invite us all round for an ABer fish party.
