Swollen face - look like hamster
17 Answers
Further to my previous post about my virus - I have just woken up to find my face all swollen on one side and neck painful.
I know it's my glands - but is it a good thing or a bad thing and should I just leave my system to get on with making me better again?

I've a cold/chest virus all week. I have been wheezing and feeling totally shattered. I haven't been to the doctor as I thought that it would get well on its self. I have never had swollen face like this before.

I have had mumps - it was horrible.

Mumps - even the thought of it scares me.
Pre-existing - HBP, PCOS, diabetic, high cholesterol and bipolar.
The area below my ear is the bit that is really sore - or more uncomfortable. I don't like using the emergency weekend service for something that is either self limiting or will wait until I see my usual GP.
I was actually telling somebody last monday that after two years of being mentally unwell I was actually feeling better. ;-)
