+Since we were recently told to re-tune into Freeview,all I get is the picture breaking up on a lot of the channels.Is it something I did or can the adverse weather have something to do with it???

it's likely your aerial or connection.

Strange...if everything was working o.k. before a re-tune, I can't see it as an aerial problem.

Post a bit more information and perhaps there are other ABers who will comment.

The sort of info which will be required is.....Are you using a set-top box or is Freeview built into your set (as I have). Have you actually performed a re-tune; because I haven't and all channels are still available to me.

If you post your area you live in there are some people on here who can probably tell there is a transmitter problem or change for your area.

You need to check that your aerial hasn't been knocked out of alignment by high winds. You also need to check, as far as is possible, that all connections from your aerial (e.g. into and out of any signal amplifier you might use, and into the back of your TV or digibox) are still firmly in place.

Wow!That's quite a bit of info to get through.
I have a built in Freeview
It was working before retune,
I'll try all the suggestions now. Thanks everyone!!!!

Make sure you are not picking up two groups of channels. Sometimes weaker muxes are preferential to the storage .. but that is down to individual freeview softwares.
A good directional antenna is important. Directional is long with large rear reflector. Make sure it is suitable for the channel groups (muxex) you want to receive.
If you get stuck .. post postcode here and I will tell you what transmitter/signal strength/antenna and antenna compass bearing you should be using.
If you get bad reception during/after heavy rain, suspect downlead or balun on antenna has water in it)

We have problems like that on freeview, but we have not gone fully digital yet. I am told it will be fine once our area goe completely digital
