Once again my MS Money has proved unstable on W7. I need a similar programme for personal use - I see freeware Gnucash is often referred to - but has anybody experience of this application or can anybody recommend a money management programme I can buy?

Slightly off thread here, but I've been using MS Money on W7 64 bit for over a year.

Interested in what way it is unstable? Mine has migrated through XP, Vista 64bit and W7 no problems.

Thanks Buenchico - have you personal experience of the programme? And Slack to put it in very plain ie untechnical speak, my MS Money 98 has twice just disappeared, this time after I uninstalled a totally different prog BUT there remains on my laptop now an old version of my records on Money which itself had previously disappeared! Where has it been and why is it back? Is the most recent record hiding somewhere? I run a club account and my Mum;s affairs on it so the loss is a bit more than inconvenient!
Wrangler3,
OK thanks. My version is MS Money 2003. I do seem to remember vaguely that when I switched from Windows ME to XP a warning coming up when I tried to install MS Money 98 about compatibility issues. So I just bought 2003 version.

In that case I'd go with Buenchico's suggestions.
