Bullet points in text files
The background to this problem is that I'm creating docs using OpenOffice and MS Works Word Processor (I don't have Word) and want to save them as RTF files (amongst other formats). These docs contain bullet points, like this http://tinyurl.com/6dmw48r
With Wordpad (and other text editors) the bullet points in these documents look like this http://tinyurl.com/6guj4w5 - so no large dots - and its the same when creating a new rtf or txt file with those editors.
This all used to be ok until sometime in the last couple of months, I don't know what happened and I'm at a loss as to how to get bullets looking normal again.
Can anyone provide a solution?

I've tried searching for info about where Wordpad is getting those double arrows from instead of the usual dots but without success so far.
