You're right! Everything new these days seems to have ever more complicated instruction manuals. Who are those boffins that have nothing better to do than keep foisting on us new technology, that many people don't want or need, or even less understand? Personally I don't update or add new programs to my PC unless I have to, and I'll keep my old mobile until it stops working. As for TV, too many channels have been invented and so much of it seems to be just watching people talking - the best bit of that technology is the switch off button.
Quite right. I mean why did anyone go and invent the wheel, people got on fine before it, when will this inventing new and better things ever stop.
I didn't even get an instruction manual with my new camera, its on a dvd,, now loaded on my pc so that I will have to print it off. I've tried reading it from the screen but it is dodgy.

I can relate to that! When I first got digital tv I had most of the channels. Now have the minimum. The BBC's, ITV's and channel 5 are enough for me. Film 4 is ok. For live footie, I watch it at the local.
Bloody panic stations here as well. We have a little televison with just the five terrestrial channels. I don't want any more channels. Three of channels I have got hardly get watched.

In fact I would just be happy now with the Radio, BBC television and CD's
