ipod playlists

hi>> can anybody tell me how to organise my songs when i make up a playlists to burn a cd from  My ipod always seems to put them into alphabetical order by song or artist     when i used to use windows media this used to leave them in the order i put them   I have tried dragging them into the order i want  but the ipod keeps putting them into aphabetical order  When i import from cd the ipod keeps them in the order on the cd ... but not when i want to burn a cd... can anybody     >>>hope i have explained myself properly  thanks for any help given

while in iTunes, looking at your playlist, click the little gap 'bar' above the numbers, so that its in number order (1,2,3 etc.)

then just drag your songs to the order you want.

iPod should keep the order the same as in iTunes, i think.
and this order will be the order used for burning too.
