Stuck on 7d....I won't explain the extensive instructions for this x-word,but I think that the definition is "function",and the cryptic clue is...."Dry,virtually clear"....It's 6 letters,and the ones I think I have are....

We've just finished the Genius 91 except for 10 across and 2 down. We think they might be PEKE and LONE, but do not understand the cryptic parts if they are. Can you help? Thanks.

There are complicated instructions for this crossword. The cryptic part for the last three letters of PEKE we think is 'Oscar bash'. The meaning (i.e. the non-cryptic part) of LONE is 'Punk might do this'.
