To put it in simple terms:
1 When you left click on something, you are creating an 'action.'
2 When you right click on something,a box or dropdown appears, giving you a choice of options, which you then select by left clicking on one.
Thank you, paintpowder 1. But that does not explain why so many links which used to open with a left click now refuse to do so. This even includes some here on AB.
You would have to say which ones are not opening for your query to be fully understood. In the meantime, you could think about the following:
Are you sure they are 'proper' links,as they should always open just like those on the left in 'Topics'.
Then there's this type of link below, which,if you click on it,will open:
There should be no problem whatsoever opening the links with a left click, except:
1:Your web page has a bug.
2:Your browser is not functioning properly.
3:Your mouse is faulty.
Try a different browser like Firefox or Opera,as IE8 is only just out and prone to errors.Even if you haven't got that, suspect the one you have,as you need to rule everything out.
And remember, everything has to be looked at.
paintpowder1, I happened across this thread (after 18 months!), only to find that your link http://www.theanswerb...estion779633.html#top
now opens with a left click.
I'll never understand these b. things!
