They can't. They just can't. If it's come to the end of the story that's a different matter.
One of the best programmes on the idiot box!
I read the books a long time ago - perhaps the adaptation is finished, someone will have to write more stories (if they can, if the authori's copyright has run out)? Could be a legal thing.
OH NO! the very reason for even having a telee has gone out the window.. (sob)

Now's the time to lobby the BBC. Let them know we dont want it axed. Go to BBC.co.uk then contact us.
Apparently, they want to quit whilst they are ahead.............!?!
Nooooooooooooo I'm absolutely gutted, the only thing I look forward to :(
well they'll lose out to Downton Abbey if they drop Larkrise.
Sorry, but last weeks episode just sent me to sleep.......boring.
It's totally twee, and has nil bearing on any reality whatsoever. It's like having some magical self contained Victorian community completely existing on their own, needing nobody or nothing else to help them lurch from one sickly sweet piece of unbelievable "Listen with Mother" episode in their peculiar little fantasy world which is irretrievably removed from any credible semblance of life as we might have imagined it.
You say that^ like it's a bad thing............!?!
....... and songs of praise is allowed to continue???

lord above.

That's exactly why a lot of us love it eyethenkyew-far removed from the rat-race that life is now. Of course we all know that Victorian life was actually really harsh, but this is our fantasy of what life was like! I wonder what I'd have been if I'd lived then-flamin' scullery maid probably.
i liked the first series but went off it a bit after that, its ok and much more pref to dancing on friggin ice
