have also put this in food and Drink. I am intending for the first time to roast a chicken in a bag, so can the potatoes go in with the chicken, or do I have to roast them seperately which eliminates the use of a bag?

Yours welcome's

Won't the Netto carrier bag melt in the oven Neti?
I hate cooking, but I would have thought putting the potatoes in the bag would make them soft with the steam that is trapped in the bag.I do like a nice crisp roastie especially if someone else has cooked it.
I cook my spuds much hotter than I cook the chicken, get the chicken out of the oven and leave it to sit in the bag to relax and reabsorb the juices. whack the oven temp up to nuclear and put the three quarter boiled spuds in uncovered in a little VERY HOT olive oil or goose fat
