This service is not available for:
a first adult or first child passport
extending a limited passport
replacing a lost, stolen or damaged passport
making several or complex changes to your existing passport

As ut says in my details from the Passport Servie, the Premium One Day service is NOT available for Lost Passports.
No,I think they would want to see the newer passport NOT a copy. They will have records to show that you had a newer one,and will want to know where that wentOther ID doesn't come into it really.
You should really call the Passport Service on the phone number on my first answer and ask them.
