What is the "Hendrickson Method"?

A friend of mine, who has had a bad shoulder for a number of years, recently had some treatment which worked very well for him. The therapist he went to treated him with "the Hendrickson Method". Apart from saying that it was gentle my friend was a bit vague about the treatment. Can anybody tell me more about this method of treatment?
