I've had it maybe a couple of time and yes it definitely needs custard. Cream and ice cream don't seem to work with it as well I find.

Never had it either but as it says it is a suet pudding with currants or raisins I imagine it would benefit from custard or similar.

It's delicious but very fattening. Used to be boiled in a cloth for hours! Yes, it would definitely need custard.

School in Flintshire changed the name to Spotted Richard a couple of years ago. Can't think why.

Btw.... Just been to Bognor Regis.....boy, that place is glum in the winter.....Butlins had 7 cars in the car park.......lol
