Blank popup window for Verify Visa /Mastercard
When I pay online with my debit /credit card,have to complete the Verify Secure ? pop up box...this is OK on my desktop pc but the popup is blank on my laptop.
Read something about IE8 and wondering if I should download that..think I have done so on desktop,cannot remember.Also am getting new desktop pc,will my info.passwords etc be affected regards to this

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.There are worms that pop up a fake credit card verify box when a credit card number sized numeric string is typed into a browser. If it asks you to enter other information about the card then don't do it. Data relevant to the card should be in the original form.
Try typing something that looks like a credit card number into a field in a form that is not intended for a card. If the popup appears then contact your financial institution immediately.
There may be others but the only genuine popup I know of in this circumstance is the Verified By Visa scheme. It will ask you your secret question which you previously submitted to them and you type in your secret answer.
However at least in Australia VBV has been deprecated.
If it is just an extra popup then it is probably a fake. Many of these worms now wait for some time before hitting your account in an effort to separate the ripoff from the compromised activity.

OK I have the same problem as Beso explained, it was when I enter an invoice number (that look like a credit card string) and the popup asking for Discover validation.... never had a Discover card !! and when it ask for my PIN number !! HELLO !!! it's smell scam.... but All the virus/malware software I try, no one found the problem !!
