my sister mentioned this as something she me and her could do - she has a child so is limited with what she can do and wanted something to 'be getting on with' while she is in the house to make a few quid...but wants me to help her when i have time too...do you think people would pay a decent fee to have this done?

do you think this would be a worthwhile venture?

its very time consuming, so i imagine many just wouldnt bother doing it themselves...but if you had many albums of original pics with no copies...would you pay?
i would imagine it would be good to have that security in the event of a fire or flood too...

and if so how much should she charge? i assume a set amount per say 10 snaps?

or is there already a lot of options for this out there?
i would have thought some printers etc offer this?.. but id imagine theyd be expensive...?

thanks

as a professional designer i am pretty expert with photoshop, so can, and do restore, alter and fake images - however my sister has really only just mastered using a computer for the internet, haha, so theres no way shed be able to use that kind of software...it takes a long time to truly master it...and you also need an artistic eye...which she hasnt....i suspect thats why she wants me to do this with her...for back up...

i suppose she could just place an ad in the paper or something and see if anyone is interested...she just wants a bit of pocket money not expetcing to make a living...

if i had loads and plenty of money id happily pay someone else to do it...good point with the insurance thing too...

my cousin is photographer and had only just got into photoshop and restored an old battered photo of my auntie... but when he was showing it to me he seemed to expect a chorus of wows, amazings and arent you clever kind of reaction...and i just said 'yeah great nice one'...(hed done an adequate but not great job) but he seemed put out that i wasnt in awe of his skill...and said hed spend months on it...i was surprised by that as i thought from the original itd take a few days at most...turned out he had spent months creating a sepia toned black and white tone pallete...and individually painting in each minutely different shade to blend it in...must have been painstaking....his face when i showed him the clone tool and the blend tool...it was funny but awful too...

it pays to check out the tutorials - at the very least...he hadnt ...he also seemed utterly baffled when i mentioned another pic needed cropping...

he is an intelligent bloke though, pro photographer, but it shows that its is not easy at all...and takes a lot of learning...even with me doing a proper course and gaining a qualification theres still things i found out by accident afterwards...
