Really loud knock at the front door, so i went, expecting to see someone trying to sell me something.

Instead, there stood an old man, must've been in his 80s.
"is nikki in?" he said, "I'm sorry, no one living here called nikki" - on that note, he stepped into the house and was going to shove me out the way!! "hey, I've told you, nobody living here called nikki" - he backed away, and as he shuffled down the driveway, I could hear him mutter "feckin nutter!"

I have always been afraid I might do something like that. He must have Alzheimers poor old chap. Living well in the past probably.

You should probably call your local police station and just let them know of the incident so they can log it. As others have said, he may well be ill and someone might be looking for him.
