I so enjoyed the discussions yesterday on the thread ''How Many ABer's use Their Degrees'',that I would welcome your & anyother ABers opinion on the rapid decline of our country. We were at one time a nation of world trade,we had ship building, steel manufacturing,coal mining & very many skills in engineering, it saddens me to see where we are now linked to europe but not now a united kingdom where oh where did we go so wrong ?Ron.

Yes, it was fun, wasn't it.
I've just walked in from my morning meeting ...
(at The Thistle Hotel, on the seafront ... my "cunning" strategy (partly to avoid going up to London) is to get my contacts to come down here instead. I take them for coffee in the Atrium at the Thistle, which overlooks the beach, and they think "Oh, this is nice", plus they get a day out of their office ... and I get the deals ... Woo Hooo! ...
... then, when I do have to go up to London, I take them for lunch to jolly places, and kiss their butts (figuratively, not literally) ... I was trying to get into the new Heston Blumenthal place, but it's booked up until the end of May!!! ...
... oddly enough, there was a thread yesterday about getting on through knowing people, not on merit ... a truism which I have just illustrated, I think)
Anyway, where was I ... ?
Oh yes, how nice to find someone looking for a chat (and on "ChatterBank, no less!) ... but I have to be back down in the town for 11.30.
Can you hold this thought? and look back in here a bit later. And, as Arnie said ...

... oh, god-ugly!
And he had the cheek to call that alien monster thingy an "ugly motherf...."
