Is this going to do him any harm long term?
My 13mth old has been teething for around 3 weeks now. Its just one after the other and I manage his pain through the day with teething gels/powders etc and occasional dose of medicine. However its the night times that are worst and he has had a dose of medicine every single night for all this time and as his teeth are still not completely though I cannot see an end to it at the present moment. When you read the medicine boxes it says do not give for more than 3 days but obviously he needs it for the pain. I give 3 different types on alternate days so one night he will have calpol 5ml, the next nurofen 2.5ml then medised 5ml. I hate having to do this so much but without it he is screaming on an off for several hours through the night. He has been checked out at the doctors the other week and there is nothing medically wrong with him but I am concerned that giving medicine every night like this may not be good for him?

You know I have tried those powders and they dont seem to do anything but maybe I havent used enough? I cant remember now but does it say give them one every 2 hrs or something? He is a pain taking stuff like that too, sometimes he opens his mouth other times he shuts it just as I have tipped the wrapper up so it goes everywhere! It also feels like I'm giving him a wrap of coke too lol. He loves his medicine though, guzzles it down like a right junkie. I think he is just a wimp! I am sure my daughter was never like this with her teeth.
