Old router

Hi all
Is it possible to use an old wifi router as a repeater? My signal from my Sky router is quite weak upstairs and wondered if it was possible to use my old one to link the sky one to booster the signal?

Depends on the make and model of both routers (if you want to use it as a fully wireless repeater)

Or if you can run a Ethernet cable between them then yes, just turn off DHCP for the second router.

Oh, and if you go for the cable option also make sure the second router does not have the same IP address as the first one.

Best option, to put it in a totally different subnet, second option give it an address high up in the main subnet so it's not going to clash with DHCP allocated addresses (ideally change the DHCP allocation range on the main router so it really can't happen)
