Well what a day. Had a really bad night with my baby but this is nothing new so put it down to teething and gave him medicine and carried on as normal. Come mid morning he had taken a turn for the worse and was very flushed and felt slightly hot. Took his temp and it was over 39 so I gave him more medicine then noticed a slight rash appearing. I immediately felt worried by this so called GP and took him there straight away. GP listened to his chest and said she didnt think it was quite right and not to panic but she was going to call an ambulance as she wanted to be sure he was ok. OMG I burst into tears and we were taken to a&e with suspected pneumonia. The paediatric doctor there eamined him and thankfully she said his chest was clear and he had a viral infection! Just a temp, ear ache and sore throat. After waiting for a wee sample we were free to go home where minutes later he was happily sat munching on crackers having made a complete recovery!
Excellent! Think the little b*ggars like to scare the life out of us on occasion! My son went completely purple with a non-blanching rash at 18months. Still wanted a tuna fish sandwich though...
I remember your thread tig from yesterday. You absolutely did the right thing and im so glad youre wee boy is OK.
Kids are a right worry arent they and it doesnt get better as they get older ....:)
