Someone please help me!

I just plugged my iPhone into i tunes to update, at the end of the sync i got a message saying update not successful, an error occurred or something, now my phone is just showing a picture that says i need to plug into itunes, which it is and itunes is saying my phone has gone into recovery mode and i need to restore before i can use it with itunes! what do i do, i'm worried i'll lose all my pictures etc. !!!

Just restore them from last night's backup.

Do you think if we all keep telling people to restore from their backups people will get the message?

I dont think I have a backup. :-( have just restored it and it has erased everything. :-( i'll have a mooch for backups though in the hope that i find one.

If you need to wonder whether you have a backup or not, then you almost certainly don't...

If you don't do backups, you won't have one. I take it these pictures and files were not very important to you?

well I (probably stupidly) assumed, itunes backed up for me. oh deary deary me. :-/

Itunes is telling me it can't restore it at all now. what do i do?

When iTunes is backing up, do you get a, ''warning, this useless software is reversing'', message over the speakers?

You start again, this time remembering to do backups. Sorry but you have learned the hard way always to backup important data.

Not sure why you would believe itunes would back it up for you.

because, everytime i plugged my phone in, it said at the top, backing up etc...

i cant start again, i have no phone to start again on, it wont restore factory settings.

you have to put it in dmu mode
type "iphone in dmu mode" in google it will tell u what to do mate
