Just had a knock on the door and panicked a little when I saw it was a policeman.

Turned out he is signing up for the local Homewatch which can't be a bad thing round here.

Think he might have been having a bad morning, was stood on my doorstep (in full dressing gown, bed head finest) and he asked for my address, bless!

What is your local area like? Do you have anything like Homewatch or do people look out for each other or is there much need for it where you are?

we have very vigilant neighbours round where i live. only the other day, the man across the road was able to tell me exactly what my wife was wearing at 10.30 at night in our bedroom. he's a keen astonomer as well. always at that telescope. although i always thought the stars were upwards.
Ankou, you might jest, but I wouldn't put it past him. He reminds me of Tony Martin, who is an equally deranged character, but has managed to get a lot of support!! He actually worries me - I have had to contact the police on a couple of occasions!
oh dear. do you need a hero on a white horse lofty ?
Anne. He has no friends at all, neither does the son. He doesn't appear deranged on the surface. He thinks he is OK. So getting help with his problems is off the cards until he does something serious enough to warrant intervention.

He has been through three solicitors to date trying to prove we have stolen his garden. They have all told him the facts but he just carries on and on and on.
Four houses in a very rural area Pixi!! He has ruined what was a nice little neighbourly area.
Probably Ankou ;o)

cue: theme from the 'a team'.
Dog stands about 15" tall from the top of her head!!
Seriously, we think the guy does have mental health issues. His son does and is also registered blind (but can see). There is no wife - she left him which is when he moved here. His other adult children don't come near him and he never has any visitors apart from loads of builders, decorators, plumbers, electricians. He has torn up everything in the garden and turned it into a wasteland and erected warning notices about having security cameras!! We are waiting for barbed wire and a look out post to be erected!!
Thanks for letting me rant!!
Lofty...get in the A Team !!

i had neightbours who over time got 7 german shepherd (this is in a tiny terraced house a literal two up two down) we had a shared courtyard and you can imagine the mess, i and the others in the row asked them to clean up more often as itr was quite hard to get the bigs out without.....

anyway i got called a smelly *** and had my garden furniture smashed up. thanks fully they've moved on
Sorry, Pixi. I failed to notice you were quoting Jenna and thought that was addressed to me.
Fluffy, We have been here 30+ years, next time we move (I will probably be in my seventies) I shall go and live where there is not another neighbour in sight. You read about neighbours from hell but don't take a lot of notice until you get one. x
Just got in Lottie so wasn't around to admire your dog. He has some border terrier in him by his looks. Mine have all been Borders. Sorry about the wierdo though.
