Would someone please explain to me the relevance or otherwise of these boring and infantile threads that have been going on now for at least 18months.

They are bloody stupid.

There are always threads you don't understand...or don't want to be part of... either get your head round them or go where you feel more at home....
no you're talking jno
It is diffucult to move off as you suggest, as one starts to get interested in a thread then all of a sudden the "cake brigade " arrive.

.....better, as Lottie says, than the sleaze brigade....

Don't start me off, I'm ill today...I'd say custard pies are in order but I haven't got the strength to fling one
now*
I must confess I'm getting a bit cheesed off with a certain young schoolgirl who seems to monopolise the site quite a lot these days.
Ron - I will tell mamya off in that case ;o)
<she will so love me for that>
Just ignore then whiskeryron! I started doing that ages ago!! ;o)
Naughty Ena, no cake for you then!
I just wish people would stop sponging off my ideas.....they all seem to be called Victoria and then there's is the Battenberg family - and those Swiss ABers they just roll me over. There's the gay wing here, those puff pastries cheese me off. Nothing more to be said about the fruit cakes around here........

Seriously, I had a nice slice of Xmas cake earlier and some good gorgonzola, a nice sticky Cornish camembert and a brie at lunch time chex my sister's - I just loe les fromages and especially things like Roquefort, and any Chevre Cendre as well as the little ones like St Marcellin. We have some great local cheeses down here too like Allet goat cheeses and Cornish Blue (that has just cleaned up the EU cheese of the year in Paris).
One for Lottie and 4getmenot....

Why do Norfolk folk eat so much cheese?

Well, they need something to go with their whines.
My favourite is Black Forest Gateau. I'm rather fond of a chocolate eclair too. And a fresh cream chocolate sponge cake ... or a danish pastry.

Sorry, what was the question again? :o)
Just came back on this thread and read through the postings. Saw myself mentioned in sallas posting as a poor thing. What a put down! And I have never come on to chatterbank, and then gone off and then come on again. It never occurred to me to stay away, I always like to have a say in whatever is going on. So, is it a case of "If only God the gift would give us to see ourselves as others see us"?
Star - I would never dream of calling you a poor thing - set them straight, girl!
star...................one of the best quotes in the world. mr, r, burns
I know anne but I couldn't do the scottish accent.
Right on ttfn. I never thought of myself as being backward in coming forward.
ay hid i they gift tae gi is.ta sa oorsels as ithers see is.....................im sure its not correct. star. but best i can do
