I think it is the same as Windows 2000 Professional which is 4 GB.
I think before you get anywhere near the 4gig that windows allows you'l find most motherboards have a limit as well and mine has a pyshical limit of only having 2 memory slots (I currently run with 1024 of DDR) and says in the handbook it can only handle up to 2gig of memory.
