Whenever my mother makes a cherry cake she complains the cherries fall to the bottom of the cake instead of being at the top where they should be.

Can anybody solve this one,please?

You need to wash the syrup off them, dry them and then toss in plain flour. That should sort it.

... and the cake mixture is too 'wet'.
