It's our 10th wedding anniversary in July and I'd like to take my wife to France for a few days. Does anyone have any suggestions as to somewhere to go within a couple of hours drive of Calais. Cheers, Duncan.

What sort of short break are you after and do you have a budget?

The plan is to take the car through the tunnel and put up at a hotel for two or three nights. The anniversary is on a Tuesday so we will probably go on the Monday and come back on the Thursday. Some nice small market town would probably be ideal - perhaps where we could make a couple of short excursions in the car during the day. Don't really want to go to a big town or city. The cost is relatively immaterial but say about £500.

Looks ideal. May see if we can get in there. Thanks.
Without a doubt......PARIS
One of my favourite seaside places on the coast is Saint Valery sur Somme. It's a quaint town and isn't crawling with tourists. It's got different kinds of places to visit; the estuary, the little chapel on the hilltop overlooking the estuary, walking along the inlet in the town, there are lots of little boutiques, nice restaurants, a market etc
