9D PRIEST
57A STAKE
57A I have SWAGE not stake
Sorry Gingertrixie 57a is STAKE !!
Sorry too Prescott but it IS 'Swage'.

Gussie
definitely swage
Stake: "A small anvil used by metal-workers, esp. one with a tang for fitting into a socket on a bench. "

Swage: "A circular or semicircular depression or groove, as on an anvil "

Both from the OED .Stake would appear to be a better fit.
Chambers also gives STAKE as "a tinsmith's anvil"
Priest
smale
The answers are priest and smale
The answers are 'Priest' & 'Stake'...
My apologies. I accept that the correct answer is "Stake" and not "Smale"
