The smell of weed...

We have a sort of outhouse/lean to. Hard to describe...but if you imagine a terrace house where you have a bit outside that runs from the back door to the garden. That part has a lean to the same as our neighbours. We share one wall and the roof (?) and there is gaps..

Anyway...I think they smoke weed in theirs....and because this house is not the traditional layout (ie, kitchen at the back) My house stinks of it. It actually makes me feel sick.

My sons mate has just come in....and my son said straight away 'It's not my Mum smoking weed'

So...how do I approach them? I'm a bit fed up of it tbh....

Btw...I'm not anti drugs...I'm just anti my house smelling of drugs that I don't take...

Yeah I'm ginger and the fear of temper can be awesome!

I actually really like the idea that you mention it in passing and ask them if they've noticed it too - saves an uncomfortable confrontation and will hopefully give them the hint to stop.

Could they be growing it ? I find it very unlikly that the smoke from next door is the problem. The smoke would die out very quickly, yet the smell from growing would leave a constant smell in your home and the street.

It's not constant. A few times a week. No pattern to it. It's always strongest in the kitchen that leads to the outhouse.

Like I said I'm not anti weed but...my son had his mates over on Saturday and it's not nice having to explain ourselves.

Thanks...I'm sure we will in the end. Their house is rented so could always say something to the landlord I suppose...
