Dauphinoise style potatoes

I posted this against the previous thread, but need a quick answer before I finish work !

I pre-prepared this last night so I can put straight in the oven tonight but I didn't heat the milk / cream, I just poured it cold onto the uncooked sliced (thinly of course) potato - will it still cook ok ?

It should do, as long as it was refrigerated.
yep, if you look at the delia smith recipe i posted, she (and me) cook it from cold, i never heat the milk and cream.

I don't heat it either.
Cover it with foil and cook it fairly slowly, then remove the foil, turn the heat up to give it a nice crisp topping.
