Virgin Media box

I have a Virgin Media box attached to my T.V. It works just like a Sky box allowing you to record two programmes simultaneously, set series links, etc.
However when I set the box to record a program of ,say, an hours duration it does just that - records for exactly 60 minutes. The problem is that it invariably starts recording some minues before my program starts - which means that I get to see the last few minutes of the previous programme and miss the final few minutes of the one I wanted to view. Is there a setting on the Virgin box which allows one to extend the recording time?

Yes there is. Look at the recording settings available from the Home page. You can extend recordings for up to 10 mins before and after.
