School Reunions.....

Are they worth going to? I really didn't like school, and the teachers I did like, well to tell the the truth, they were all near retiring when I left so if they're still alive now, I'd be quite surprised! Are these functions just a way to show off? Coz if so, I'm really not interested. I have two friends fro school I've kept in touch with, one lives in Zurich, the other in Australia and neither of them will be going.

I wouldn't bother. If I'd liked them all those years ago, I would have kept in touch. An old school chum recently requested Facebook friendship. I told him:" I didn't like you in 1974, so what makes you think I'm going to like you now?"
Although I did go to a football club reunion last year (some guys I hadn't seen for 25 years)..............now that was a laugh.

There was a boy in my class at school who was not very bright. Occasionally I would do his English & maths homework for him.

He was in one of the daily papers recently and the article was titled: How I Made My First £1million

I don't bother with School Reunions, those who are still alive have moved on with their lives and I probably would not recognise them anyway. We only had things in common when we were in School unless of course we had formed a special friendship.
Time has passed and I have moved on in life for better or for worse.

No they didn't mercia because Rowan has really bad problems to resolve in Birmingham.
I think the world of her but these problems seem unsurmountable at present as dark forces are at work.
We met through one of your lovely Food Postings as you may well recall.
Those 6 months we spent together were wonderful and I wish her well always.
Hope you understand but to protect her I cannot go into detail.

Couldn't be bothered with most of my school contemporaries at the time so I wouldn't be going. Surely if they were good friends you'd still be in touch no?

I went to a school reunion once hoping that the teacher I used to have a crush on would be there. Sadly he wasn't. Perhaps he heard I was going. He must be ancient now or dead!
