I bought my mother and father in law £120 worth of Diamond Holiday vouchers for xmas and have just found that from the welsh news that they have ceased trading. I paid for these with my visa debit card. so i dont think im covered to get any money back. any ideas what I have to do to claim money back from a company that have gone bust?

Although it would seem that some banks are a bit vague over the Chargeback Scheme, it does exist, and may just need a bit of a push on your part.

my husband rang the bank and was told that we were not covered because it wasn't a credit card purchase. when I told him about chargeback he rang again and was given another number. who was very optimistic that we will be reimbursed so thank you very much for the information.
thought i'd update on this. it looks like the chargeback scheme is going to provide us with a full refund. so thank you very much for letting me know about it.
just thought I'd let you know that we had a letter from lloyds tsb today confirming they have credited our account with the full amount. so thank you so much for your advice about the chargeback scheme. excellent advice thank you AB
