I have a Oko Lavamat washer which is turning slowly on the spin cycle, none of the speed make any difference. I suspect the motor is gone, does anyone know how I can test it? I have a multi meter and am OK with electrics. Thanks

A few years ago I had a similar experience with a washer and replacing the carbon brushes in the motor cured it.
loose fan belt ?
Is this machine an older one with a mechanical programme selector or a newer one with digital selection?

The fan belt is OK. It has an electronic programmer. I think brushes are the first thing to try.

With electronic programme selector it could be so many things. Fault in the programmer, out of balance detector, motor drive unit or the motor itself. If you get no help from the site suggested it looks like calling in a professional will be required.

Cracked it!! I found it wasn't draing and so drained the water off through a little pipe at the front and hey presto, it worked! There must be a sensor telling it there's too much water for a spin cycle. Took the filter thing out and it was blocked with fluff. So I'm now in washing frenzy! Thanks everyone for your help, invaluble moral support
