Mrs O's perfect fish pie:

200g scallops
150g cooked prawns
560g pack of frozen cod steaks in butter sauce (saves faffing on deboning fresh cod)
150g sliced mushrooms
175g frozen peas
50g grated cheddar
about 700g mashed spuds
15g butter
100ml milk

Preaheat oven to 190c/gas 5.
Put scallops & milk in a pan and simmer for 5 mins. Add cornflour, keep stirring & bring to the boil then remove from the heat. Add the prawns and set aside. Cook the mushrooms in the butter for about 10 mins.
Cook the boil in the bag cod as per the packet instructions.
Remove cod from the pouches & break into flakes.
Put everything into an ovenproof dish. Top with the mash & the grated cheese & cook in the oven for 20 mins.
I serve it with green beans.
I hope this doesn't sound rude but unless you are a real dab hand with pastry I would give pie making a miss

Sorry to you all that I haven't been back in touch due to personal problems. I cooked two dishes in the competition, one was the ginger pork and the other was the fish pie. Sad to say I didn't win but keep an open mind for next time.To add insult to injury the competition was one by my best mate who cooked delicious spicy meatball's with a sweet plum sauce. Sorry again for getting back so late. P.S. I would appreciate more idea's for next year's competition. January the 1st 2012.
