No apologies necessary Pinki and Sir, but Thanks...smile. Yogi, your link address has been compressed or summat, can't read it, any chance of a tinyurl? Thanks Mark. I imagine the film was very visual, so listening to it wouldn't help I'm afraid...just like these days when I try and listen to tv stuff and I'm not into audio-described stuff either!...they talk over the music, which can say so much in some parts...but Thanks Dotty. - and if you're reading this Naz, I've found my Kojak theme on Youtube!...aren't I a sad person?...don't all agree in such a rush!

Ooops, I forgot to say to all you wonderful people, that there is an audio cassette version on amazon uk, but it dunner give any details...so I'm a bit wary!...oh dear, am I that desperate???
Dotty's link goes to the US Amazon site. Here's the TinyURL:

Mark's link just goes to a Google search, but here it is anyway:

Karen's download link looks a bit complex, because you need to download several compressed ('RAR') files and then decompress them:

The audio cassette version is available through Amazon UK, but at silly prices. (£25 new or £20 secondhand):

Further to your reference to the audio cassette on Amazon (which I failed to spot before I linked to it), the image on that page shows the box cover. It reads as follows:
"Dove Audio - Digitally Mastered.
The Exorcist - read by the author, William Peter Blatty - unabridged.
Eight digitally mastered cassettes"

Very Many Thanks again Chris for all your brilliant techno and research - and Thanks to all the rest of you good people too.
