Genes ReUnited costly message

Just found some positive info that someone on Genes ReUnited is searching along similar lines to me. THis was via a google link.

When I went there as free member I found ther is no way of contacting them without sigong up for 6 months and 50 quid - for one e-mail

the basic membership on Genes Reunited is about £9 for 6 months.

Yes I've just checked mine again and a Standard membership is £7.96 for 6 months.

I tend to not use genes reunited but I know it can be a good point of contact for linking research, though the way they select your matches is quite random.

I ignore their Hot Matches dotty, but it is great for finding matches in other trees as they are flagged up straight away.

Sorrty guys (& gals) I did misread it - looking at Platinum price. Standard is £14.95 (includes 50 credits) for 6 months

I have looked at Genes Reunited, I am very interested in looking at family history, but not sure which website to use really, I don't mind paying, as long as it's a reasonable amount, can anyone, maybe dotty, point me in the right direction please!........

then maybe use the local library free ancestry site to become familiar with the format of the records. then consider trying ancestry's free 14 day trial,
