Where is Windows Media Player in Windows 7?

When I put a cd or DVD in my new Laptop windows 7) it automaticlly opens in Windows Media Player and plays - that's finwe!

However, I cannot find WMPlayer anywhere in my programs list to allow me to put an icon shortcut on my desktop.

The Windows 7 start menu has a search field at the bottom.

Put the name (or part of the name) of anything that may be on your menu and it wil find it.

So if you put "calc" it will find your calculator.

If you put "media" in the search field it will find your Windows Media Player.

Thanks - trouble was I put Windows Media Player and got nothing! Still, all ok now
