I can't guarantee my mum will know the answer to every question, but soon she'll start working (on yet another temporary job) to collect and compile the info for the census.

She said that if I have any friends (or their families) who want questions answering, to ask them through me, so I thought I'd ask you lot of you had any.

Please only sensible questions, else they get lost in all the spam and drivel of chatterbank, but this is the topic where most people hang about ( I think ).

Questions about what? How to fill in the form, am sure that will be simple enough but will wait to see when it arrives.
I have completed a few census's now, its a fairly easy form to fill in and this year you can complete it online.

good on your mum for helping out, its a big job
Question Author
One of the jobs she's doing is going round to houses of people who can't/ won't fill it in for various reasons . . .

But there's lots of different stages to the census and she's managed to get two jobs, a couple of weeks apart, but she's gutted as she can't take any holiday time off, and it's going to be a big birthday for her on one of the days she'll have to work . . .
ok
Still it is bringing some money in, good for her.
Question Author
Oh and she has to go to places such as care homes where the people working there might have some difficulty fillling it out for all the residents.
I have a question ... Why isn't Jedi now listed as a valid religion, despite it being 4th most popular in the 2001 census with over 390,000 'votes'?
i'm trying hard to think of a census question...
oooo that one --- naz's one
Question Author
Naz, she thinks it was only allowed to encourage younger people to fill the census in, but then they realsied that it isn't a proper religion and decided it's not valid. And can you imagine what people would think of us in a couple of hundred years time for allowing it?
why are we not allowed to put "no thank you" when asked "sex?"
i think its rotten of her employers not to allow her the day of her birthday off. Must be terrible when it fall in just few of the weeks in the year she's worked :(
So they back-pedalled their decision to include religions that got over a certain amount of registrations (50k, I think).

Seriously though, define a 'real' religion, something that isn't based on myth/magic/hearsay/peer pressure/etc.
Question Author
red, maybe they'll ask your gender this time . . .
-- answer removed --
what about those folk who are intergender?
Question Author
You put which ever you want to be in that case, if you're half way bewteen two . . .
This Census is going to be fun, looking forward to the obscure questions ! ;-)
